8th May, Iowa City: While in Iowa City to visit parent organisation ACT, Inc., a delegation of eight staff members from ACT Education Solutions, Limited visited the University of Iowa and met with college and department heads and GAC graduates now attending the university.

Dr. Chaden Djalali, Dean of College of Liberal Arts & Sciences; Ms Maureen Burke, Director of ESL programs; and Ms Ying Xu, Assistant Director of International Admissions hosted the visit of AES staff members from Shanghai, Sydney, Singapore, Jakarta and Mexico City, and provided information on how GAC graduates perform.

The University of Iowa is the most popular receiving university for GAC graduates, attracting hundreds over the last decade with its high reputation and offer of up to 33 credits for the program.

According to Senior Regional Academic Manager Anne Zheng, it was encouraging to meet graduates currently studying in first and second year and to see and hear the difference the GAC program had made.

“The GAC has helped them to become mature and confident university students, apart from academic preparation,” she said. “This tour gave us a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities both the GAC program and the University of Iowa face in the coming decade.”
